CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS
Blue iQ has a team of experienced technicians certified in optical fibre technologies, capable of installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing your optical fibre network. In addition to being trained in optical fibre techniques, our technicians are also certified to work at heights and in confined spaces, and have generic safety inductions for surface and underground mine sites.

INSTALLATION
From a short hop between buildings or floors, to longer multi-kilometer runs, Blue iQ is experienced in installing indoor and outdoor optical fibre, including multimode OM1 and OM3, singlemode OS1, tight buffered and loose tube optical fibre in core densities ranging from 4 cores to 72 cores. Blue iQ is also experienced in installing composite optical fibre (singlemode/multimode within the same cable), and hybrid cables such as electrical/optical hybrids.
Blue iQ can install optical fibre into just about any environment, including runs between adjacent buildings, server rooms, schools, commercial premises and heavy industrial sites, using above ground and underground cabling.
Blue iQ can also install optical fibre into machinery and plant requiring technologies such as fibre optic rotary joints and hybrid cables, and we can even install optical fibre into underground mining environments.
Blue iQ tests and certifies all new optical fibre installations to AS 3080 and ISO 11801, and can also provide manufacturer certifications from ADC Krone and Molex Premise Networks for up to 25 years.

TERMINATION & JOINTING
Blue iQ can terminate optical fibre using a wide range of methods. Using fusion spliced tails or direct termination, Blue iQ can terminate into 19" rack mount enclosures, wall mounted FOBOTs, mini FOBOTs, MCC enclosures, electrical/PLC enclosures, fibre optic rotary joint enclosures or custom made enclosures.
Blue iQ is familiar with a wide range of connector styles, including the common SC, ST, FC, LC and MTRJ connectors, together with less common and more specialized connectors.
Using our state of the art core alignment fusion splicing equipment, Blue iQ can join optical fibre, for example in pits using optical fibre re-openable joints, or within buildings such as substations and server rooms using FOBOTs for a straight through splice with cores optionally broken out for equipment, patching or future requirements.

MAINTENANCE
Blue iQ is well placed to provide ongoing maintenance for your optical fibre network. Periodic testing and maintenance of your optical fibre can help ensure your network performance remains at the levels you require.
After installing optical fibre, Blue iQ records OTDR signature traces of your fibre, allowing us to return at any time and test your network to identify any sources of encroaching degradation that may potentially put your network at risk, and take remedial action during scheduled downtime to prevent network outages.
Dirty connector faces are one of the leading causes of optical fibre network failure, and Blue iQ's regular maintenance includes connector face imaging with our state of the art fibre scope to identify and clean dirty connectors before they become a problem.
TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR
Blue iQ are experts at troubleshooting optical fibre network problems. Using state of the art troubleshooting equipment, such as our carrier grade OTDRs, Blue iQ can pin-point the exact location of trouble spots, reducing the time spent at the diagnosis stage.
After fault diagnosis, Blue iQ can get your optical fibre network running again with minimum delays, whether it's a simple case of a connector clean/re-polish, re-termination, or a full on re-splicing of cut fibre.
TESTING & CERTIFICATION
Blue iQ has a full range of optical fibre test equipment, including VFLs, LSPMs and OTDRs. Blue iQ is able to test and certify optical fibre networks to AS 3080 and ISO 11801, in addition to certifying Molex Premise Networks and ADC Krone installations for up to 25 years.
Blue iQ can provide ongoing testing of your optical fibre networks in order to provide continuity of service and identify potential problems. We can also test your dark fibre prior to lighting it up for power budgeting purposes and to avoid problems and delays when lighting dark fibre.
