Combining the expertise of our Internet, networking and communications staff, the iQserver has been developed to provide various areas of functionality. The iQserver is capable of performing many tasks, including Internet firewall, virus and junk mail scanning of all email before it gets onto your network, backup facilities for your workstations, and a file server to act as a central repository for documents that more than one person needs access to. The iQserver can also speed up viewing of web pages and reduce bandwidth and download requirements over your Internet connection. The iQserver is also capable of providing virtual private network (VPN) access to your network to authorized staff from outside your network, allowing access to the network from other offices or the homes of any suitably authorized personnel. If you have a wireless network, the iQserver can allow your wireless access point to utilise the highest level of data security, usually only available to larger enterprise customers.

Our integrated fax solution allows you to plug your fax line into our iQserver and have faxes delivered by email to any email address or group of email addresses as PDF documents. With an ISDN service and integration with a Blue iQ telephone system, each staff member may have their own unique fax number, and our fax software will intelligently route the fax to the appropriate email address or group of addresses.

The iQserver runs redundant hot swappable disk drives and can back itself up to removable media, which if stored off-site allows recovery from disasters as severe as a site's total destruction. Each iQserver is supplied with an uninterruptible power supply that provides surge protection, power conditioning and is capable of running the iQserver, your modem, router and switch for up to 60 minutes in the event of a power failure.
